PhishSpot's mission is to combat phishing. The aim is to protect consumers from Identity Theft where personal, credit or other sensitive information is collected by phishing and fraudulent means on the Internet. We also work with authorities to shut down these phishing sites, as well as educate members about how to detect phishing scams. Phishing and Identity Theft may be an inevitable part of our society's technological evolution, but it is not unstoppable - we believe that by fighting back, reporting scams and by using sophisticated anti-phishing solutions we can effectively combat phishing.
